Assignment: Create a custom landing page layout using a page builder
Description/Instructions:
In this assignment, you will use a WordPress page builder (such as Wp Stater Template, Elementor or the Gutenberg editor) to design a custom landing page. A well-crafted landing page is essential for capturing visitor interest and encouraging specific actions, such as signing up for a newsletter or promoting a product.
Steps to Complete:
- Choose Your Page Builder: If you haven’t already, install and activate your chosen page builder plugin (e.g., Wp Stater Template, Elementor, WPBakery).
- Create a New Page: From the WordPress dashboard, go to Pages > Add New. Title your page (e.g., “My Website”, “My Blog” “Welcome” or “Product Launch”).
- Launch the Page Builder: Click on the button to edit the page with your selected page builder.
- Design the Layout:
- Use sections and columns to structure your layout. Consider adding a hero image or video at the top.
- Include key elements such as headlines, subheadings, call-to-action buttons, and any relevant images or icons.
- Add a contact form, testimonial section, or featured products/services, depending on your goal for the landing page or Website.
- Customize Styles: Adjust fonts, colors, and spacing to ensure the design aligns with your personal style and branding.
- Preview and Publish: Once you’re satisfied with the layout, preview the page to ensure everything looks good on both desktop and mobile devices. Then, publish the page.
Submit: Take a screenshot of the published landing page and the page builder layout. Submit these images for review.
